SHAMARA BONDAROFF

Borough:  NYC/ Brooklyn born and raised

Profession: Esthetician

Say Hello:  @SB_skin

Tell me something about yourself that people in your chosen industry would find interesting.

I’m not die hard about skin or products. I’m in love with people and the interaction and hands on experience I get with each person who chooses me

How did you come to meet Nur?

I meet Nur when she walked into my studio in 2015.  She was one of those rare clients as you got to spend time with her and chatted it up you saw it was turning into a trusting friendship. It goes back to why I do what I do.  When I get to meet amazing positive people who I can truly call my friend.

Most treasured way you spent time in 2018?

I took a lot of trips this year, but when I did a last min trip to Iceland for 5 days. I wasn't so excited to go as so many people have been going and it seemed like it would be overrun with tourists. I just spent those days driving around and hiking waterfalls, mountains and cliffs on the ocean. it gave me a peace and a realization I needed. Sometimes the concrete jungle we live in, that has an intense energy that's comes from the grind and the grit, makes you forget that there is an organic energy that just comes from nature and earth.  Recharge and reset.

What advice would you give someone who's leaving NYC and moving to a new city?

NYC is always here.  The people and the stores my change but why people choose to come and go from this place will always remain the same.  You can pick up with where you left of. I don’t know anything else because NYC is where I was born and have generations in.  This place is like an abusive relationship. It's beats you down sometimes and you want to or really do leave but you miss it and you make your way back.  With love, open arms, and forgiveness NYC is will always be (I’m always here too xo).
